Our Story, Rooted in Care

We met in 2017, when I was hoping to open a tree lot on Larkin Street. He became my mentor, and in 2019, on my birthday, I became the owner of the business—a milestone made especially meaningful by his trust in me.

That same year, just one day before the trees arrived, I experienced a profound loss in my family. There were trees to receive and promises to keep. Caring for those trees and the families waiting for them helped carry me through.

Since then, I’ve met others carrying similar grief. Sometimes I’ve been able to offer a tree as a gift; sometimes, a listening ear and the understanding of someone who has been there.
