Trinity Tree Lot

A little guidance for the Christmas season

From choosing a Fraser fir to caring for it at home, the Trinity team is here to help.Find answers to our most frequently asked questions below.

What makes a Trinity Fraser fir special?

Our premium North Carolina Fraser firs are hand-selected for their beauty, character, and lush foliage. Each tree is a product of nature, with inherent variations in shape, fullness, and width—part of each tree’s individual character.

At Trinity, each tree is cared for in water, mechanically shaken, washed, and inspected before it leaves our lot.

Is it possible to visit the lot and choose a tree?

Visits to Trinity Tree Lot are welcome. Online orders reserve a tree according to the selected size and available options. To view trees before arranging delivery, please contact us to coordinate a visit.

How should tree size and silhouette be selected?

Select a height from the sizes currently offered on the product page, allowing room for the stand and tree topper. Our silhouette guide illustrates four natural shapes: Pencil Thin, Narrow, Standard, and Wide.

Standard is our classic, full Fraser fir. Pencil Thin, Narrow, and Wide trees are available in very limited quantities and are subject to availability. Guide images are for general reference; individual trees will vary.

What does Reserve & Pick Up include?
  • Each reserved tree is mechanically shaken, washed, inspected, and lightly baled for transport. It remains in water under our care until the scheduled pickup. A fresh cut is available upon request, and our team will assist with loading it into or onto the vehicle.
  • Stand installation is not included with pickup. Please bring a suitable vehicle and, if possible, the order number or a digital or printed order confirmation.
What does White Glove Delivery & Setup include?
  • On delivery morning, the tree is washed, mechanically shaken, and inspected. At the delivery address, the tree receives a fresh cut and is secured outside in a purchased Trinity Tree Lot stand or a customer-provided stand that meets our installation requirements.
  • We carry it indoors, place 6-mil protective plastic beneath the stand, position and straighten the tree, remove the remaining baling, gently arrange the branches, and add water.

A Trinity Tree Lot stand is a separate purchase. Explore White Glove Delivery & Setup.

Why is a Trinity Tree Lot stand recommended?

Our full Fraser firs can be substantial in both weight and width. A properly fitted stand must account for the tree’s height, trunk diameter, and weight.

Our custom wooden stand includes a water bowl and braces fitted, adjusted, and secured by our team when purchased with White Glove Delivery & Setup. This installation is not included with Tree Lot Pickup.

Can a customer-provided stand be used for delivery?

Yes, provided our crew determines that it meets our installation requirements. Please have the stand out of storage with all parts ready before our crew arrives. If anything is missing, contact us ahead of delivery to arrange to purchase a Trinity Tree Lot stand.

Customers using their own stand acknowledge responsibility for its suitability and the tree’s ongoing care and stability when ordering. Our crew will also provide an acknowledgment form to be signed during delivery and may decline installation if the stand is unsuitable.

How should the home be prepared for delivery?
  • Clear a path to the chosen location and move furniture, fragile items, and other obstacles so our team has room to work. Have any customer-provided stand and all its parts ready.
  • The customer or an authorized adult must be home during the delivery window to confirm placement and sign off on installation. Please confirm the tree’s position and preferred profile before our crew leaves.
When are delivery reminders and tracking available?
  • An order confirmation is sent by email after purchase.
  • A reminder is sent the evening before delivery by email and, if a valid mobile number was provided, by text.
  • The tracking link becomes active approximately two hours prior to the scheduled delivery.
  • A Trinity driver will also attempt to call about 30 minutes before arrival.
  • Weather, high-rise deliveries, access issues, and other unforeseen circumstances can affect arrival times; please check the live tracking link for updates.
Can a pickup or delivery date be changed?

Please send the order number and the preferred new date or time through our order assistance form. Dates and time windows fill quickly, so changes are subject to availability and may not be possible once scheduled.

For pickup, the confirmation includes the pickup address, specific instructions, and the window selected when ordering.

What if the tree is larger than expected at pickup?

Please speak with our team before loading. Express Door Delivery or White Glove Delivery & Setup may be available as an upgrade, subject to scheduling and availability. Additional delivery or setup charges will apply.

How should a tree be cared for at home?
  • Check the water level daily and keep the cut end of the trunk submerged. Use plain water; no additives are needed. Water uptake varies from tree to tree.
  • Keep the tree at least three feet from fireplaces, heaters, heating vents, candles, and other heat sources, and do not block an exit. LED lights produce less heat than traditional incandescent lights. Use indoor-rated light sets tested by a recognized testing laboratory and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Never use lit candles on the tree. Turn off tree lights before leaving home or going to bed. Remove the tree promptly when it becomes dry and after the holiday season.

For more guidance, visit the National Christmas Tree Association’s Tree Care Guide.

What if the tree is taking up little water?

Water uptake varies. Check that the cut end remains submerged and monitor the reservoir daily. If the water has run out, or signs of drying or other concerns develop, contact us promptly for guidance. Please don’t wait several days if the tree appears to be drying.

Can the tree be moved or turned after installation?

Please confirm the preferred position before our crew leaves. Do not push, kick, or use the water bowl to move or turn the tree, and do not loosen or adjust the braces.

Keep vacuums and other equipment from striking the bowl. Share these instructions with decorators, house cleaners, and anyone caring for the tree. If the tree becomes unstable, keep people and pets away and contact us.

How should a concern about a tree be reported?

Please point out any concerns to our team at pickup or before the delivery crew leaves. If a concern develops later, contact us promptly with the order number, a description, and photographs so we can assess it.

Fresh-cut trees are a product of nature. Shape, fullness, water uptake, and display life vary, and their condition at home depends on watering, room temperature, and exposure to heat. Natural variation alone is not a defect.

We assess concerns individually. We do not offer refunds or replacements for deterioration caused by insufficient water, excessive heat, or failure to follow the supplied care instructions. This does not limit rights provided by applicable law.

What is the cancellation policy?

We understand that Christmas plans can change. Please submit cancellation requests through our order assistance form, including the order number.

Requests received at least 48 hours before the start of the scheduled pickup or delivery window are eligible for a refund less a 5% cancellation fee. The fee is calculated on the canceled tree and service subtotal, excluding tax. Applicable tax on canceled items is refunded.

Requests received with less than 48 hours’ notice are reviewed individually; a refund is not guaranteed. If Trinity cannot fulfill an order, we will provide a full refund for the unfulfilled portion without a cancellation fee.

After pickup or delivery, we do not accept change-of-mind returns of fresh-cut trees. Concerns about the tree’s condition are handled separately as described above. This policy does not limit rights provided by applicable law.
